Key Stewardship Responsibilities

1 Educate Growers on Certified Seed
  • Explain the importance of certified seed in ensuring genetic purity, consistent performance, and marketability.
  • Highlight the prohibition of farm-saved seed under the Syngenta Stewardship Agreement (SSA) and its role in preventing CIPRS compliance issues.
2 Promote and Monitor Stewardship Compliance
  • Emphasize that growers must sign the SSA before purchasing Silverline™ seed, as it outlines critical stewardship requirements.
  • Report any suspicious compliance activities to your distributor or Syngenta for follow-up and resolution.
  • Collaborate with licensees to ensure all compliance standards are met.
3 Facilitate Access to Resources
  • Distribute stewardship guides, compliance checklists, and grower brochures provided by Syngenta.
  • Direct growers to the Silverline™ microsite for stewardship resources and training.
4 Maintain Distribution Standards
  • Ensure all seed sold is certified and properly labeled according to Silverline™ stewardship requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of seed sales and assist in year-end reporting as required by Syngenta.
5 Retailer Accountability
  • Assign a retail account manager responsible for implementing stewardship practices, including SSA management and reporting.
  • Stay updated on annual stewardship messaging through training and communications from Syngenta.
